Breath of the underground
Steaming vent at Hverir (Hverarönd), a geothermal area which is part of the Krafla volcanic system. This area is also known for its mud pots and solfataras.
Some of the vents are in fact boreholes drilled in the 50's for sulfur exploration which have been turned into fumaroles, the steam coming out comes from a steam zone above boiling groundwater.
