Resting before the storm
by Nicolas Waldmann, Department of Marine Geosciences, University of Haifa, Haifa, Israel
During a 2006 seismic survey campaign to Lago Fagnano (southernmost part of Tierra del Fuego in Argentina), the RV Neecho rest for the day on sunset before the next storm arrives. A one month of seismic survey on the lake was followed by piston coring in order to reveal the climate change patterns in this part of South America and to understand the impact seismic events had on this region.
