Balloon launch preparation
by Emma Elvidge
Preparing to launch a whole air sampler below a balloon destined for 30 km (and back!) can be rather nerve-wracking. It's check, double check, and check again...especially knots, connections and 'on' buttons!
Our sampler collects vertical profiles of stratospheric and tropospheric air which we analyse for halocarbons and other climatically-important trace gases.
