
Survival of the Luckiest
After a strong storm, one surviving emperor penguin passes his less lucky fellows. After they hatch in late August, every storm poses a great risk to the newborn penguins. On a visit to the colony shortly after such a storm, hundreds of dead bodies are lying in the snow.
