Exploring the Transylvanian Alps
The mountains of the Fagaras, the "Transylvanian Alps" were formed 250 Mio. years ago, during the Alpine orogeny. Countless thrusting and folding created step cliffs and brittle walls that challenge hikers, while local farmers tend to their flock like a hundred years ago. Weathers are unpredictable and tend to surprise animals and man alike.
