Into the mossy mountains
Shales covered in algae are exposed at Arrifana Beach (Algarve, Portugal) during low tide. At a closer look the shales look like a massive, mossy mountain range. The beach is one of many geologically interesting locations in the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park.
