Wahlenbergbreen glacier crevassing I
by Andy Smedley, University of Manchester, Manchester, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
Taken en route from Ny Alesund to Longyearbyen at the end of our first "Lost Meteorites" field trial, the return flight gave incredible views of the surrounding landscape. This is the upper reaches of the Wahlenbergbreen glacier as deep crevasses start to form in its surface.
