Stifone spring, located in Umbria region along Nera river gorge is one of the bigger groundwater spring of Central Italy, with a flowrate of about 12-13 m3/sec. Groundwater spring is characterised by high-salinity and elevated pCO2 of deep origin. The spring represent the main outflow point of a deep regional aquifer.
