Little Tibet of Italy @ Rocca Calascio, Abruzzo
This part of Italy is also known as the "Little Tibet" because of the stunning and impressive landscape it offers. The octagonal church of Santa Maria della Pieta, close to Rocca Calascio castle and Campo Imperatore, was built in the 16th century to give thanks for a victory by the Castle garrison over a large band of brigands.
