Minerals´tiny secrets
Fascinating "universe" of ancient mineral-forming fluids trapped in tiny vacuoles within a crystal of calcite is waiting for a curious researcher to reveal their secrets. These tiny vacuoles - fluid inclusions preserve information about the temperature and composition of the solution from which the studied mineral precipitated, and much more. This sample belongs to a large (~5 cm) phreatic calcite that covers the walls of a cave in the Veľká Fatra Mts in the Western Carpathians.
