Sadness of tree branches

Turkey suffers from driest winter in years, including central Anatolia. The trees at METU campus in Ankara, located in this region of semi-arid climate conditions, had to be pruned in early February due to spring-like weather in winter. In this photo, you see pruned tree branches waiting patiently for some rain to fall on them – without knowing when, but with hope!
