Granite Formations and Lake Victoria
by Joel Gill, King's College London/Geology for Global Development, London, United Kingdom
Busisi is on the edge of Lake Victoria in Tanzania, a ferry port to the large urban centre of Mwanza, well known for it's granite rock formations. The climate of the region has resulted in extensive weathering of the granite outcrops, forming a distinctive landscape.
