Double halo during field work at NEEM ice core drilling site
Double halo during the packing down in 2015 of the ice core drilling camp NEEM (2007-2012). In the background the dome and in the front the tent used to store vehicles in the period 2012-2015. Three years of snow had to be removed before the camp could be moved more than 400 km to its new position at the North-East Greenland Ice Stream, where the EastGRIP ice core drilling project will begin summer 2016.
