This flowers are from an endemic plant, Espeletia sp. or "frailejon", commonly named by local people.
Frailejon lives in the high Andes mountains in an ecosystem called Páramo.
In Colombia, the Paramo is threated by climate change, extensive agriculture and raising cattle.
