The yellow cliff of Trentaremi
The sea cliff of Trentaremi forms part of the Neapolitan coastline, in Southern Italy. The cliff is formed by tuff rocks of the Neapolitan Yellow Tuff Formation (15 ka BP) related to the second largest eruption of the Campi Flegrei volcanic complex. The typical yellow color is due to the process of zeolitization and, in this picture, it is emphasized by the sunlight during the sunset.
