light play at the tuscan coast on a day in early March
The sun is breaking through a heterogeneous cloud layer causing a Tyndall effect at various distances and height levels, seen from a 500 m high hill looking down to the low cloud base. While the background scenery lies in the cloud shadow, the hills in the foreground are illuminated in intense green. The sea in the background reflects the direct sunlight. Rayleigh scattering colors the horizon in orange and the coastal mountains and the island Isola di Giglio in blue.
