Fieldwork on Jökulsárlón lagoon
by Baptiste Gombert, IPGS / EOST, Strasbourg, France
The picture was shot from the Zodiac boat taking us to the calving face of Breiðamerkurjökull, the birth place of this small blue iceberg floating over the Jökulsárlón lagoon in southern Iceland. We were on our way to install a camera providing a time-lapse of the calving face in order to monitor the mass loss of the glacier.
Shot with a Canon EOS1000D ,18-200mm Tamron lens, 42mm focal length, f/9, 1/200s, and ISO 200
